No elapsed time on display
Unfortunately, the display does not show the wash time. Very disappointed. Ive been using the old equivalent, exxcel for a long time, im used to this feature, it never occured to me that Bosch would make such a mistake hence i did not pick up on this before buying the thing, i took it for granted:( i wont be swapping it for ecological reasons, but im gutted.

Progress, but not for the better
Construction compared to my previous Bosch dishwasher is flimsy, and there isn’t a short rinse wash, as far as I can see.I’d be surprised if this one last as long as the previous Bosch, and will never reach the longevity of the Miele washers that I’ve owned in the past.On the plus side, the delivery and order handling were upto the usual Amazon high standards.

Does not show time left on your wash!
Very disappointed with this machine. My old Bosch dishwasher lasted 14 years, and was amazing. This one doesn’t dry properly even with extra dry, there is no baskets on upper shelf and the control panel doesn’t show time left. You have to look at the app! Wish I’d brought a different machine

Excellent and so quiet…
Bought this dishwasher to replace an old one and one thing we noticed is it’s so quiet. Easy to install and a fantastic wash. Good choice of programs and you can set up to use with you’re phone app or Alexa so you can start the dishwasher while you are out if you forget to put it on and also it will tell you about rinse aid and salt levels.

Bosch goes back in time(!)
Ref:~ BOSCH~ SERIE 2~ SMS2ITW08GThis is a very basic machine for a quid short of £400 (at the time of writing). In fact it takes so much less crockery, etc. overall, that I thought it was a slimline in disguise, but it is a full size machine!At a glance, the main negatives for me (compared to my old Bosch):❗Check that the version you are buying HAS the upper knife tray, if you are used to one. The machine I received (March 2024) may be an older version of this ‘Serie 2’ (Made in Poland), but the images above currently show said knife tray.Apart from NO remaining time indicator, there is no what I know to be Quick Wash; the ‘Express Wash’ (65°) takes about an hour, in my experience, and, it is not possible to select ‘Half Load’ with this option.😩There are no drop-down flaps on the baskets to hold smaller items and help support e.g. stemmed wine glasses.ooOooI jumped the gun on this ‘Serie 2’ (as on the door of the dishwasher, NOT ‘Series 2’, as largely advertised) and, granted, I did buy elsewhere for prompter delivery & installation.However, if you are used to Bosch dishwashers, and we have had nothing else over the years, this is surprisingly lacking compared to the 13 year old Exxcel it replaced, in my case.As others have said, there is no countdown timer on this model, so you don’t know how long it has left at a glance, but the main issue for me is a safety one in that there is no upper knife rack.The 2 drawers feel cheap and are jerky on sliding in & out; there are no drop-down flaps to hold smaller items and support e.g. stemmed wine glasses + the lower spray arm is juddery, so the machine is generally noisier than I am are used to. OH AND…the cutlery basket can only go in the one spot.You have to wait a few seconds for the illuminated red bar to go off before selecting the desired programme options; the right-hand side selectors feeling very flimsy.Regardless of the programme, I find that it doesn’t dry that well (including using the ‘extra-dry’ option)…most notably the top rack items, such as the bases of bowls & mugs that are still damp and leave rings on the counter-top when off-loading.I have yet to punish myself with analysing the electricity & water use.Hopefully, that proves to be on the + side.All things considered, I wish I had bowed to the pressure from the other half and had the heat pump replaced on the old machine, but, I (wrongly) assumed that technology had advanced.

Fabulous
We only buy the best (not most expensive) kitchen products and Bosch always does the business. We sold our old dishwasher (too long a story to explain why) and bought this model through Amazon. The Eco setting is phenomenal as it cleans brilliantly but doesn’t send our smart meter into Orange mode. This indicates the energy efficiency is off the scale. It’s clean, good looking, easy to use, need I go on.Just buy this model, you’ll love ❤️ it.

All good except connection to wifi. Kitchen is two solid walls from the router, and connection failed. A bit surprising as phone and tablet maintain a connection near the machine. Better antenna, please Robert.
